Universal Column (UC), also called an “H-beam” for its square-ish cross-section, carries load on a vertical axis and resists twisting, used for major vertical support in steel-frame buildings, industrial and rural sheds.
Sizes follow the same designation format as UB: section depth in mm, followed by UC, followed by mass per metre in kg. For example, 200UC46.2 is a 200mm-deep column weighing 46.2kg per metre.
Grade: 300 (Grade 300+ steel, hot-rolled)
Standard: manufactured to AS/NZS 3679.1
Finish: standard mill (black steel)
